- Download the Magic Magnify™ module for Joomla 1.7 / 1.6 content or Joomla 1.5 content (free demo version).
- Install the module and enable it.
- The demo version is now ready! To magnify an image, see the instructions below: "How to magnify an image".
- To upgrade to the full version, buy Magic Magnify™ or request a free non-commercial license. Then overwrite the existing magicmagnify.js and magicmagnify.swf files with the ones from the full version.
If you use TinyMCE, you should also perform the following steps (otherwise Joomla strips out id and rev attributes from <a> tags):
- Open the TinyMCE 2.0 settings, found in Extensions > Plugin manager > Editor.
- Enable the functionality: 'Extended'.
- Extended Valid Elements should be: a[class|name|href|target|title|
onclick|rel|style|id|rev] - Go to Advanced Parameters > Advanced Link and set it to off.
- Download the Magic Toolbox TinyMCE. This lets you insert class and rel attributes for <a> links in the WYSIWYG content editor. (Without it, TinyMCE will remove these attributes for some unknown reason).
- Install it using the Joomla installer menu.
- Open the module properties (Modules → Administrator Modules → Magic Toolbox TinyMCE editor fix).
- Publish the module.
- Set the module position to “header”.
- Download the Magic Magnify™ content module (demo version).
- Install it using the Joomla installer menu.
- Open the module properties.
- Publish the module. The demo version is now ready!
- To upgrade to the full version, buy Magic Magnify™ or request a free non-commercial license. Upload the magicmagnify.js and magicmagnify.swf files to overwrite the previous ones.
Note: You can skip installing the mod_tinymce_magictoolbox module if you are happy to completely disable TinyMCE code cleanup: “Mambots” → “Site Mambots” → “TinyMCE WYSIWYG Editor” → “Code Cleanup” = off.
