Extract the zip file and upload the magicthumb folder to your xt:Commerce website.

Change the settings for Magic Thumb™ as you wish via the admin area (Modules -> Magic Thumb).
To upgrade to the full version: buy Magic Thumb™ and overwrite the includes/modules/magictoolbox/core/magicthumb.js file.
