Install now

  1. Download Magic 360 Flash™ for Magento (demo version).
  2. Unzip the contents, and upload the magic360flash folder to your Magento directory.
  3. If you use Magento Compiler, disable it. After installation is complete, go to Magento Compiler and run the compilation process.
  4. Go to http://www.yoursite.url/magic360flash/ in your browser and follow the instructions.
  5. Go to System > Cache Management and refresh the cache.
  6. Configure the Magic 360 Flash™ module through the 'Magic Toolbox -> Magic 360 Flash settings' menu in the Magento admin panel.
  7. To setup a 360 spin, upload your set of 360 images to your product in your Magento admin.
  8. On the module settings page, choose which products should have the Magic 360 Flash™ effect by modifying following parameters:
    • Image count - Number of images in the spin set e.g. 18 or 36 (0 = disabled)
    • Product IDs - Choose which products have 360 images, comma separated e.g. 1,4,5,12,14 (all = all products)
  9. To upgrade, buy Magic 360 Flash™ and upload your licensed JS file, overwriting the old one:
    /skin/frontend/[your_interface]/[your_theme]/js/magic360flash.js.

This 360 degree product viewer with zoom was built for Magento Commerce.

It uses JavaScript and Flash to create the spin and zoom effect, using two sets of photos spaced at equal degrees to create the spin effect. The first set of photos does the 360 degree spin and the second does the zoom. You can customise the speed, borders, effects, blurring, autostart and other options. For each product you want to spin in 360 degree view, you need a set of 18 or 36 photographs. Each set of photos should be shot on a turntable, with each shot equally spaced when rotating. If you don't already have photos, tell us what your products are and we can get quotations for professional 360 product photography for you.

Multi-language

You can change the language of the message and loading text like so:

  1. Find the locale folder for the language you wish to change e.g. /app/locale/en_US.
  2. Open the file Mage_Api.csv into the editor and insert these lines at the and of the file:

    "Magic360Flash_Message","Write your message here"

    "Magic360Flash_LoadingText","Write your message here"

  3. Continue these steps for each locale you wish to change.

FAQ

Q How do I change the image when custom options are selected?
A Put the color name in the 'Label' attribute of each image. Open module settings page and set the option for 'Options names associated with images separated by commas' to your option name.
Q How do I prevent Magento images stretching?
A Open module settings page and turn on the option named 'Ignore magento CSS width/height styles for additional images'.
Q Do you support configurable products?
A We do not support configurable products. We only support configurable product attributes and also product options.
